Research data management consulting
Are you working with empirical educational research data and wondering:
- Where can I find research data to use for teaching or my own research?
- What should I do with my data after the project ends?
- Who do I contact if I want to share data?
- What is research data management?
- How can I organize, process, and document my data?
- How do I draft an informed consent form?
We provide answers to these and many other questions related to research data management.
Who are we?
Our team includes current and former educational researchers, social and political scientists, and trained research data and information managers. We have years of experience in research data management consulting and working with research data, and we engage in continuous professional development. For legal questions, we are supported by external legal advisors.
Our mission is to support you as effectively as possible. We offer tools and guidance so you can meet research data management requirements and make informed decisions.
How long will it take to receive a response?
You’ll receive an initial response within 1-2 business days. A detailed answer typically follows within a week. Online forum for research data
In Forum4MICA, an online forum dedicated to research data, researchers have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions. Experts from Research Data Centers or the VerbundFDB (German Network for Educational Research Data) respond to inquiries about the use of specific datasets or research data management.
Example questions include:
- We would like to share the videos from our project via a Research Data Center. How should we anonymize the videos for this purpose?
- Do I always need to obtain written informed consent when collecting data?
- Are approvals required if I want to interview school principals as part of my master’s thesis?
