A number of research data centres (RDC) and research institutes are offering research data and services to educational researchers:

ApaeK, Goethe-University Frankfurt ApaeK, Archiv für pädagogische Kasuistik (German for Archive for Pedagogical Casuistry), offers documents from pedagogical practice. The archive database holds lesson transcripts, image documents, interviews, lesson descriptions, case reconstructions and many more items. |

DAS - Data Archive for the Social Sciences, GESIS, Cologne The Data Archive for the Social Sciences at GESIS offers the data catalogue DBK which provides access to studies – also relevant for educational research. GESIS is a partner in submitting the project proposal for VerbundFDB, which runs this website. |

The Research Data Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies at the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) provides quantitative and qualitative research data from the fields of student, graduate and science research. In particular, this involves the institute's own data, but external data from the field of higher education and science research are also recorded and made available. The data are also suitable for research in related fields, such as school or labor market research. |

RDC at IAB, Federal Employmen Agency, Nuremberg The Research Data Centre (FDZ) of the Federal Employment Agency at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) prepares process-generated data of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) and makes them available for scientific research, together with data from IAB surveys. |

The Research Data Centre for the Socio-Economic Panel holds responsible for offering research data from the longitudinal assessment SOEP, which since 1984 has assessed around 30,000 individuals from around 11,000 households in Germany. |

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIFBi) holds responsible for the National Education Panel Study (NEPS). The institute additionally provides further – mostly quantitative – longitudinal studies for educational research. |

Research Data Center PIAAC at GESIS, Mannheim The RDC PIAAC at GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences (Mannheim) provides researchers with access to PIAAC data. PIAAC (Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) is a study by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) involving 33 countries worldwide. Its aim is to examine adult competencies in an international comparison. |

FD-LEX at the Mercator Institut for Literacy and Language Education, Cologne FD-LEX offers educational researchers access to more than 5,000 texts written by fifth and ninth year students from comprehensive schools and grammar schools in Cologne and Hannover. The researchers can use transcripts and handwritten original manuscripts for their own research projects, together with anonymized metadata of the students. |

Archive "Deutsches Gedächtnis", Germany's State Distance-Learning University in Hagen The archive holds witness interviews for contemporary historical projects at the Institute for History and Biographical Research at the FernUniversität in Hagen. It also contains documents from external researchers across diverse disciplines, such as biographical interviews and written testimonials - autobiographies, family chronicles, diaries and collections of letters. |
